Technical Marketing Specialist

We are seeking an experienced life sciences Technical Marketing Specialist to join the Applied BioMath Marketing team in Concord, MA. As part of the Marketing Team, you will write, edit and manage life sciences content for customer-facing materials which may include case studies, website content, blog posts, white papers, video scripts and ad copy. To be successful in this role, you should be an independent, innovative thinker with experience writing and editing scientific content.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Write and edit technical content based on in-house scientific expertise and customer interviews
- Repurpose existing content into new formats for sales and marketing content
- Create and maintain a content management system
- Develop annual content strategy in conjunction with Services, Marketing, and Sales Managers
- Create copy and concepts for ad and signage copy
- Provide editorial support for software product documentation and videos
- Collaborate with Marketing Team on SEO best practices
- Create and edit PowerPoint presentations for internal and customer-facing uses
- Produce electronic and print literature and other trade show booth materials for virtual and in-person conferences
- Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments (sales, customer service, and leadership) to understand the products / services, markets, and customer for our portfolio of brands
- Support Go-to-market activities for new products
- Perform extensive research to discover facts, organize information, and develop a media-appropriate voice to effectively communicate marketing messaging
- Assist the Science team with formatting and styling of scientific reports and materials
Required Skills and Education:
- A bachelor's degree and 3+ years of professional work experience (or an advanced degree) is required
- Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, biology, science, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a marketing writer/editor in a scientific environment
- Experience editing technical marketing materials
- Experience concepting and writing video scripts
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision
- Proven track record of working independently
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, evolving company while contributing to formation of processes and structure
