Bjorn is a computational and systems biologist with a diverse set of experiences in pharma R&D and manufacturing. He previously worked at Silver Creek Pharmaceuticals in San Francisco, CA, using computational models to help engineer regenerative protein therapeutics. Prior to that, he was a modeling and simulation engineer with the RES Group in Needham, MA where he built and optimized organic synthesis reactor models for large pharma API manufacturing. He also spent two years at Merrimack Pharmaceuticals in Cambridge, MA where he developed image analysis algorithms applied to a new quantitative IHC diagnostic assay used in multiple Phase 2 clinical trials. Bjorn received his Ph.D. from Harvard University in Systems Biology, with a primary focus on computational methods development applied to cancer systems pharmacology.
