Heidi earned her PhD from Harvard University in Biological and Biomedical Sciences in 2019. She worked in Suzanne Walker’s lab where she completed a high-throughput small molecule screen to identify new potential antibiotics for Staphylococcus aureus. Her dissertation was titled, “Discovery of Bioactive Inhibitors of Two Distinct Cell Envelope Biosynthesis Pathways in Staphylococcus aureus.” During her PhD she completed an internship at Genentech (2016) in their Pipeline and Portfolio Planning group.   Prior to completing her PhD, Heidi earned her MSc in Immunology and Infectious Disease and BSc in Chemistry from Memorial University in Newfoundland, Canada.
