Judy joined the Sales and Business Development team in 2021 to apply her prior experience and passion for modeling to develop and grow client partnerships at Applied BioMath. Judy holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh and trained as a postdoctoral fellow at the Mathematical Biosciences Institute at the Ohio State University. Judy remains an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she was a tenured faculty member joint with the Departments of Mathematics and of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. In that role, she accumulated over 10 years of experience collaboratively working with diverse constituents to accomplish objectives on interdisciplinary projects, while managing and reconciling various agendas. Judy's academic research program primarily focused on mechanistic modeling of the complex dynamics of the acute inflammatory response and control discovery methodologies for modulating the immune response in sepsis. She has 15 years of mechanistic modeling experience applied to biology and medicine, has published 30+ journal articles and book chapters in the field, and has received funding from the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health.
