Lin received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Tsinghua University, China in 2009 and completed her PhD at University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 2016. Her doctoral work focuses on modeling biological signal pathways and networks for use in understanding patterning and growth control in cell and tissue development. Her work also involves numerical PDE and ODE analysis, parameter estimation and sensitivity analysis. In addition to systems biology, she has hands-on experience in medical imaging and physiological signal processing.
