Senior Scientist

Modeling & Simulation

Sheetal earned her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI in 2020. Her area of research was in the vascular systems biology where she developed endothelial cell based mathematical models to provide quantitative analyses of the complex interactions of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species with the antioxidant systems. This helped elucidate the underlying mechanisms involved in endothelial dysfunction and provided guidelines for effective treatments as well as earlier intervention in treating cardiovascular and neurovascular diseases. After completing her PhD, she worked in the Department of Pediatrics at Wayne State University’s School of Medicine, where she used bioinformatics tools to perform T-cell receptor repertoire profiling for providing insights on the molecular mechanisms underlying infantile epilepsy and identifying potential therapeutic targets.
